WordPress – the popular free blog & CMS platform – is used by 60 million people globally to power everything from blogs (including this one!) to corporate websites and socal networks. Today it has been updated to version 3.3, and is available to download now.
As well as numerous bug fixes and security updates this new version also brings some nice new features and interface changes, such as a new toolbar, easier to use media uploader and quicker pull-out menus.
We strongly encourge anyone running WordPress to keep their installation up to date (including plugins) in order to keep your blog/site secure (not to mention fix bugs).
Upgrading is usually a painless process, just make sure you backup your files AND database before starting. For detail upgrade instructions visit the Updating WordPress page on the WordPress codex.
