You may be aware of the recent news concerning the large scale ‘LizaMoon’ SQL Injection attack that has currently affected thousands of websites.
The attack uses a method called ‘SQL Injection’ that exploits security holes in a websites code to insert malicious scripts and redirect users to a fake anti-virus scanner.
The user is then told their computer is infected and told to download and buy fake security software called ‘Windows Stability Center’ to fix the nonexistent problems.
We are not currently aware of any attacks on any of our servers, but we urge our customers check their own websites and keep all installed software up-to-date (such as WordPress, Coppermine and others).
At around 15:30 today we had a few problems with the MySQL service on the server – these were all resolved by around 15:47 and all services should now be functioning correctly.
If you noticed any further issues or questions, please contact support or comment on this post.
We are sorry for any disruption that this may have caused.

And who wants a cold pancake? Continue reading »
